What Miru collects
Miru stores the data you enter directly: habit completion history, friction ratings, productivity scores, energy levels, mood scores, task data and daily entries. All of this is stored locally in SwiftData on your device. Miru also generates a short device code derived from your device identifier to support app functionality.
iCloud sync
If you have iCloud enabled, your Miru data syncs to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. Miru does not operate its own servers. Your data stays entirely within Apple's iCloud infrastructure under your own Apple ID. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device settings.
Analytics and tracking
Miru does not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs or fingerprinting. No data is sold or shared with third parties for any purpose.
On-device analysis
All statistical analysis in Miru runs entirely on your device. This includes regression analysis, habit chain discovery and friction scoring. No habit data or personal information is sent to external AI services, cloud APIs or any remote computation service.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Miru does not collect or store payment information of any kind. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment data.
Data deletion
You can delete all your data from within Miru at any time using the "Delete All Data" option in the Profile tab. This permanently removes all local SwiftData records. If iCloud sync is enabled, deletion propagates to your iCloud account as well.
Third-party services
The only third-party services Miru uses are Apple's App Store (for subscription processing) and iCloud (for optional data sync). No other third parties receive user data.
Children's privacy
Miru is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
